Welcome to The Gegan, our beautiful beach house in one of Scotland's most stunning coastal villages.
Our gorgeous 3 bedroom holiday home is located in Coldingham, overlooking the award winning Coldingham Bay in the Scottish borders.
Having been lovingly refurbished, The Gegan now offers luxury holiday accommodation over two floors and comprises of a spacious, comfortable lounge with Sky TV, DVD player and beautiful sea views, a well equipped brand new kitchen diner with washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer, fridge/ freezer, oven, microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine and a stylish, newly fitted downstairs wet room style bathroom.
On the second floor you will find three bedrooms; the two king size rooms have the most amazing sea views and to the back of the property is the bunk bedroom with fully sized single beds making it suitable for adults and a newly fitted fully tiled luxury bathroom.
Outside of the property you will find a patio with a rattan dining table and chairs and BBQ and the mature, well tendered garden also boasts views out over the North Sea.
Coldingham Sands, which is regularly listed as one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland is literally on the doorstep and is a hugely popular spot for families and surfers alike. St Vedas Surf Shop - three doors away from The Gegan - offers surf lessons and equipment hire for anyone wanting to try their hand at surfing or kayaking.
Or if diving is more your thing, the picturesque harbour village of St Abbs (which doubled up as New Asgard in the latest Avenger's film) is less than a 10 minute walk along the coastal path, and here you will find organised dive boat trips to take you out to the marine reserve with some of the clearest dive sites in the UK. You will also find a few lovely cafes in the village serving up homemade cakes and local crab sandwiches.
The Gegan sits on the Berwickshire Coastal Path so provides miles a miles of stunning walks along this beautiful stretch of coastline; it's only a three mile walk to the fishing town of Eyemouth where you will find a selection of shops, restaurants and bars and the famous harbour seals who love to be fed by the fishermen and visitors alike.
The historic village of Coldingham which is less than a mile inland is also very easily accessed on foot along a sealed path and here you will find a caravan park with a fish and chip shop and bar open to non residents, a small general store, two lovely villages pubs serving food and the 7th Century Coldingham Priory.
The Scottish borders are stunning and there are so many places to explore both inland and along the coast. North Northumberland with its famous white beaches and castles is less than half an hour away by car and in less than an hour you can find yourself in the centre of Edinburgh and all Scotland's capital city has to offer.
"We had the most amazing time staying at The Gegan. The house has been furnished to such a high standard with great attention to detail and all the touches of luxury you would hope for in a holiday home. The area has so much to offer and we left knowing that we have so much more to explore, so we will definitely be back!"
